Once again I had to build castles outside their walls to have a chance of getting inside. Damn Jerusalem with their infinite resources and defensive unit spam. ![]() The sixth mission was a nuisance and took me 2 hours, but it was a lot easier. I couldn't hold off the attacks from 4 enemies that were constantly hitting me with 50 elite units, including heavy rams and trebs. Well, as I said, for the fifth mission I had to just be aggressive as hell with Padua, build castles on their wood line outside their walls, then wall myself into their base with my own gates on their walls to cheese the enemy AI. Definitely the hardest of barbarrossa followed by 6th Originally posted by MeowinTurtle:I did this on hard difficulty while building my base in the south, when gold was running low i started pushing hard my way through with buildings + castles forward and forward until i cleaned orange then moved into yellow and cleared space for a wonder, distracted enough the navy of purple with all the soldier spam I had. That's something that Westwood or Blizzard never really did yet if you ask casual players even Brood War is too hard for them and that begs the old question of "what was Ensemble thinking?" The good thing is though is that they added these "scout reports" now next to the hints and in some cases those are absolutely essential because they give you important pointers for the solutions. Because of these spikes and frankly badly designed maps the campaign can feel uneven and incredibly hard even on the lowest difficulty = the vast majority of the players will never finish these because you really need to know the game to push through the BS. Honestly I'm a bit baffled that they didn't change some of the campaigns a bit more. ![]()
